In 2018, we helped now-Congresswoman Cindy Axne win a massive upset in IA-03, first winning a competitive primary and then going on to win the general election, unseating Republican incumbent David Young 49.3-47.1% in a district Donald Trump carried by three and half percentage points in 2016.
Then, in 2020, we helped Congresswoman Axne become the only Democrat to win a federal office in Iowa, despite Republicans carrying her district at the presidential and U.S. Senate levels.
In both elections our mail helped Congresswoman Axne beat Young, a well-liked Republican, by harnessing the power of the voter file. We delivered unique messages tailored to different segments of the electorate to build a winning coalition, including non-college women, moderate Republicans, No Party voters, and Democrats who requested absentee ballots.
